Suffering from Hair Fall? Did you Know Essential Oils Can Help Restore Hair? Start Brewing Now!

The moment I found out that I was on the verge of becoming bald, I started panicking like a little girl. My hair, oh the days when it used to sway with the wind, my thick hair, the only part of me that most people envied, was now the volume similarly matching a rat’s tail. What happened?! Pregnancy can’t be the reason I knew, because I hardly saw any other women suffering the bald-syndrome. Back to my rant…my hair was falling and I knew I had to do something about it because I couldn’t imagine losing my beautiful locks of nothingness now. I tried all hair growth products, even the expensive ones, if you know what I mean, but it didn’t help.

Instead it gave me such an itchy scalp that I nearly looked like some uncivilized human snapped back from the Stone Age. I asked a few friends, who all complained about the effects of hard-water. In case you didn’t know, hard-water i.e. water with some amount of salt inside, will give you hair fall. I tried using a water softener, but it didn’t help. I couldn’t bear to see my hair falling and that’s when light shone upon a window sill…I saw a small bottle with butterflies rotating around it…I started to reach to it and snapped. That was it. I rushed to my neighbour who sparingly applied something from that small bottle to her hair and I said, “What is that?”

Essential Oils for Hair Growth

These are highly concentrated oils from plant materials that are accumulated through a process of distillation. They’re so strong, they can burn the skin if applied directly, so they must be diluted with carrier oils such as almond oil, jojoba oil, coconut or apricot kernel oil before application. The best essential oils for stimulating hair growth are rosemary, lavender, thyme and clary sage. Because we like to keep things simple and straight to the point, let’s get down to the aromatic details.

Step 1

What is your favourite carrier oil? Almond, jojoba, coconut or apricot kernel? Pick one and then choose your favourite essential oil. To every fluid ounce of carrier oil, add 6 drops of essential oils i.e. if you have a 4.0z bottle of almond oil, add 24 drops of essential oil to it. Shake well. I use almond and rosemary!

Step 2

Take a bowl and mix your concoction i.e. carrier oil and essential oil. Warm it using a double boiler (place the bowl in hot water to warm it up) and keep it ready.

Step 3

Wet your hair with warm water and take a cotton ball, dip it in the oil mixture and rub it gently on your hair roots. Let the oil sit in your hair for at least 30 minutes.

Step 4

After 30 minutes, rinse your hair and use your regular shampoo and conditioner to take the oil out. Now let your hair air dry.

Note

Because essential oils are highly concentrated, test a small area on your skin to see if it causes you any irritation. Usually rosemary, lavender, thyme and clary-sage won’t give you an irritation.

Tips

Can you leave the mixture in your hair overnight? Yep you can! Just make sure you cover your pillow case otherwise it will absorb the oil from your hair and you might have to say goodbye to it!

Has It Helped?

Yep, yep! Definitely! Now I’m not saying you’ll wake up to a head full of hair the next morning, that would be weird, but I can say is that hair fall will reduce significantly. Before trying the essential oils, my hair would fall like my personal Niagara Falls, but now it has stopped falling so much, so my advice to you – get that bottle and start brewing!

An Open Letter To My Hair – Before Essential Oils…(Credited to Steve!)

Dear Hair,

Hey! How are you? Everything’s good down here.

I’ve been pretty busy at work, but it’s fun. The boys are growing up so fast you’d hardly recognize them. Oh, and my folks will be out visiting us soon, so that’ll be nice. You’ll have to forgive me if you already knew this stuff, but I figured you might not be up to date since you’re too busy slowly falling out my #$%^&*& head you ungrateful beings.

I just don’t get it. We’ve been together for as long as I can remember. How can you just throw that all away?! I washed you. I patted you dry. I took you to expensive salons. But I guess that wasn’t good enough, was it? Where did it all go wrong? Just tell me, and I’ll fix it. I can change, I swear! Honestly, I feel like I don’t even know who you are anymore. Do you really think a life down the drain or stuck in some brush is going to be better than what you have with me in my scalp??? I promise you, it won’t be.

But if that’s the way you want it, then fine. But don’t come growing back someday and expect it to be like the old days, because I can’t wait for you forever. Listen, Hair. As hard as this is, I do wish you the best. I’m going to miss you a lot, and I will always deeply cherish the times we shared together.

I hope you find whatever it is you’re looking for.

Love,
Ex-Owner
