Remember when you were a kid and every week you had a show and tell in class? Around 3rd to 5th grade, many of the kids seemed to be popping fingers and elbows out of place, showing off their double and triple-jointed skills. Just watching them was enough to make my bones hurt. Yet none of that compares to the feeling I got watching this America’s Got Talent contestant’s body-bending performance!

Alonso “Turf” Jones is a self-taught street dancing-contortionist, but when you watch his dance routine, you’ll think he’s more slinky than human. Turf was raised by his single mother who had common dreams for her son.

When he graduated high-school though, Turf decided there was no better way to spend his time than performing dance moves for a crowd. When he broke the news to his mom that he wouldn’t be going on to pursue a “normal” life, ditching college and corporate offices for a spot on a busy street corner, she kicked him out of the house!

When faced with homelessness, most people give up on their dreams. Many think if it were meant to be, it wouldn’t be that hard. Turf took a different attitude, figuring that if he was going to become a famous dancer, he would need to practice…a lot! What better place to do that than on the busy streets! He spent every waking moment for two years dancing for impromptu audiences, sometimes going all night!

Although Turf was homeless, he wasn’t broke. He said that when performing, he’d often walk away with $150 to $300 in his pocket per night! That’s substantially more than the average college-age student is making. Turf spent a lot of time proving to himself that following your dreams is worth it. In his audition though, he proved it to the masses.

When an interviewer for AGT asked Turf how his mom felt about him auditioning for AGT in 2012, his response was “I don’t know. She kicked me out two years ago and I haven’t spoken to her since!”

Nothing could stop him from pursuing his dream. He was made to dance, and he proved it with this tour de force! Continue to the next page to see the performance that shot Turf, a contortionist, like a shooting star straight to Vegas!

Irish step dancing is a traditional form of dancing that is passed on from generation to generation. Many Irish dancers often start learning the fast-footed moves at a very young age — like this 3-year-old, for example.

The adorable little girl’s performance was put up on YouTube and has since garnered over 845,000 views — and growing! She was performing her Irish dance moves at a dance and art festival called Feiseanna, or feis, for short.

It’s this little girl’s first feis and she walks on stage donning the very important traditional Irish costume. Costumes are a big part of the performance and as a 3-year-old, she is, of course, absolutely adorable.

The precious toddler walked on stage with her costume, complete with a cute headdress; but, she seemed a bit nervous and shy to have so many people staring at her at once. An adult needed to walk out with her and give her a little talk to boost her spirits.

When she starts dancing, though? Everyone is completely blown away. They would have never expected such a flawless performance from someone so small and only a few years of age. She won everyone over.

Her little feet were moving fast and she was kicking them around the dance floor. Everyone watching her has a huge smile on their face. And you definitely will too.

Music is one of the cornerstones of life. It’s a universal language that transcends language and culture. Music helps people get through tough times, and it’s also used to celebrate the best times.

The musicians that create and compose this meaningful medium deserve so much more credit and respect than they receive. It takes a certain person, with their own unique talents and visions to create incredible songs.

Time and passion go into creating beautiful music. But what if you challenged yourself to write an original song, every single day, for 120 days? Could you do it? A guitar player named Samuel Orson decided to at least try.

Orson is from Seattle, Washington and has been in love with the acoustic guitar for as long as he remembers. He’s also been playing for years in his unique style — finger tapping. He’s become fairly well-known for his skills.

To challenge himself, he decided to set a goal — write one original finger-tapping song every day for 4 months straight. He was excited to create this musical challenge in order to keep his creative juices flowing.

One of the greatest things about the show America’s Got Talent is that there are no age restrictions. It doesn’t matter if you’re a talented toddler or a groovin’ grandma, you’re welcome to the stage.

The judges on the show were about to get the performance of the season when an 8 and 9-year old walk onto the stage. What was their talent? They two tiny kids were going to do a dance performance to the famous song “Time Of My Life.”

You might be familiar with the hit song from the very popular 80’s movie Dirty Dancing. It’s a bit of an “adult” type of routine and movie so the judges were a bit surprised by the choice, but they were excited to watch it.

It was Paige and Artyon’s second performance for the judges, so everyone was anxious to see what they were going to pull out of their sleeves.

“All I can say is just have fun and wow us again. Good luck!” Heidi Klum told the two little dancers.

The adorable duo has been dancing for years and it obviously shows in their amazing and adorable performance. You’ve just got to see it for yourself.

We can all take a lesson from this incredible little boy; he teaches us that we should have no shame in who we are and to be proud of our uniqueness. He’s a 12-year-old singer named Reuben de Maid from Cardiff, UK and he was once bullied for being who he is.

Reuben is from the Llandaff district in Cardiff and loves being in the spotlight. He has a huge personality, loves wearing makeup, and gets a thrill from being on stage.

Reuben caught the attention of Ellen Degeneres and she absolutely fell in love with the talented young singer. We can’t blame her one bit — his voice is incredible.

“I absolutely love this kid from Wales – his voice, his character, his uniqueness, all of it,” Ellen said on her Facebook page.

Ellen invited Reuben to be a guest on her popular talk show; of course, he accepted. The 12-year-old performed a beautiful cover of the remarkable song “And I’m Telling You I’m Not Going” from the movie Dreamgirls.

Not only is his performance absolutely breathtaking, but the interview that Ellen does with him afterward is worth watching. He has quite the personality and speaks about the days when he was bullied for being who he is.

If you’re a fan of America’s Got Talent then you’re probably familiar with the name Brian Justin Crum. He’s a 28-year-old singer that had a performance that moved Howie Mandel to tears.

It was mesmerizing. During his initial audition, he performed Queen’s “Somebody to Love” — it was at that moment that the entire room, and everyone watching on TV, fell in love with Brian’s incredible voice. No one could stay in their seats. Before performing, Brian touched everyone’s hearts by telling everyone a little bit about his past. He had been bullied because he was overweight and gay.

“I just begged (my mother) to let me live with my aunt and uncle in Oregon to have a fresh start and she let me go,” the singer explains in an interview. After he was done taking everyone’s breath away, he received the nod from all four judges to move to the next round. Every performance from then on was just incredible.

But it was one performance of a popular Radiohead song that moved Howie to tears. When you watch it — you’ll see why.
