Disney Star Wars has become a disaster lately. That should come as no surprise at this time. This includes Disney.
It’s time to pull out that 2017 trick and blame the surviving fans for Lucasfilm’s Failings.
Obi-Wan Kenobi so far has been called terrible by fans on practically every level. Interrupted by brief flashes of Star Wars-like imagery.
After nearly a decade, that’s what you get from Disney.
Furthermore, there is controversy at every step with this Obi-Wan program right now. Even with some of it’s key stars.
The franchise is once again dealing with fans who have negative things to say about the show’s cast.
This is most notably demonstrated by Moses Ingram, who plays the evil side’s Force-using Inquisitor Reva, also known as the Third Sister. Ingram is a 29-year-old Black actress who previously appeared in Netflix’s Queen’s Gambit, but her Star Wars debut has been everything but smooth.
New Star Wars actors are frequently mocked. Recent galaxy members who have encountered social media outrage include Alden Ehrenreich, Kelly Marie Tran, and Daisy Ridley.
Since Obi-Wan debuted on Disney+ on May 27th, Ingram has faced racial abuse from multiple fandom factions.
