So!! Here we are in 2015! And a lot of people thought that the world is going to end, well booyaah! It’s time for toddler resolution!

Everyone makes New Year resolutions, even toddlers have this year and it’s funny because they can hardly keep a promise they made a second ago and now they’re talking about keeping promises for a whole year! It’s a good start though, its a small, but sure, step towards becoming a responsible person, yep. Now have you ever wondered why we make New Year’s resolutions?

According to Wonderopolis, “The tradition of New Year’s resolutions dates all the way back to 153 B.C. January is named after Janus, a mythical god of early Rome. Janus had two faces — one looking forward, one looking backward. This allowed him to look back on the past and forward toward the future.

It so happened that on the 31st December each year, the Romans believed that Janus was looking back in the past and forward into the future and thus they believed that it was the one day where they had to forgive everything and everyone in the past and look forward to a happy future. Thus on the 31st December every year the Romans would give gifts and make promises, hoping that Janus would forgive them and bless them for the year ahead. And this is how the New Year’s resolution was born! So here we are and our toddlers making adorable New Year’s resolutions!

“I’m not going to lick any ball in the ball pit, no matter how good they look.”

“I won’t cry like it’s the end of the world when my mom combs my hair. I will try.”

“If I touch mom’s iPad, I will try not to delete all the apps. Unless I did it by mistake, of course.”

“I will be patient with the toothpaste and I won’t squeeze out half of it when I brush.”

“When my mom blows bubbles for me, I’ll try to watch instead of clapping or breaking them.”

“I’ll try not to kiss the mirror too much, no matter how cute I look.”
