WATCH: 11-Year-Old Singer Maddie Surprises Judges With Impromptu Performance And Earns A Golden Buzzer

Madison Taylor Baez is just 11 years old, but she has a strong voice that defies her age.

The toddler demonstrated this on the most recent episode of “America’s Got Talent,” when Maddie, as she’s now known, played a trick on the judges that left a lasting impact.

During a commercial break, Maddie was led into the crowd, where the show’s warmup comic invited audience members to sing.

After a jazzy rendition of “When the Saints Go Marching In,” the comedian passed the mike to Maddie, who launched into a soaring and breathtaking a cappella rendition of “Amazing Grace” that had the judges turning around to see who had that remarkable voice.

Simon Cowell paused on his way back to his chair, unable to believe such a strong voice could come from such a small person. He then pushed Maddie to finish the song on stage, which she did, receiving a tremendous standing ovation from the audience while wiping tears off her face.
