As soon as the staff realized that these animals had come to pay their respects they let them come in. Once in the room where Margarita’s coffin was they all laid peacefully on the floor close to it.
But it wasn’t just dogs that chose to honour Margarita. During the time Margarita’s body was in the funeral home a bird also entered the location and flew around for a short while.
Then on the day of the funeral (15th March) the dogs formed a procession behind the hearse before then returning to the funeral home. They only left the funeral home once at that was when Margarita’s body was being prepared for its cremation.

What is so strange about this story is that the dogs who collected at the funeral home weren’t the same ones that she fed every day. This is because her funeral took place more than 800 miles from where she lived.
