Amber Heard Is Accused of Stealing Her Testimony Word for Word From The Movie: ‘The Talented Mr. Ripley’

Bring on the internet sleuths. Amber Heard entered the stand on Wednesday, May 4, to begin her testimony in the defamation case filed against her by ex-husband Johnny Depp, and Twitter users were ready to delve into every aspect of what she said.

After only one day on the stand and under oath, the Aquaman actress appears to have been allegedly caught for her dubious statements. Twitter users noticed and posted that Heard “appears” to pilfer phrases from the 1999 film The Talented Mr. Ripley, as numerous social media users pointed out during her introductory speech.

“Her entire beginning monologue is literately the plot of The Talented Mr. Ripley,” one Twitter user pointed out before comparing Heard’s testimony to the script of the film.

“When I was around Johnny, I felt like the most beautiful person in the whole world. He made me feel seen. He made me feel like a million dollars,” she told the jury while seemingly getting choked up. “And that kind of feeling… lavish gifts and lavish expressions of love and how he had never met a woman like me.”

“It felt like a dream. It felt like absolute magic,” Heard recalled, sharing that they lived in a little “bubble” together since they were keeping their relationship out of the public eye and would often spend multiple days, just the two of them, at one of Depp’s several homes.

Still others remain skeptical that this is true:

We don’t know if any of this is true or not. But just wanted to share the latest buzz from this trial.

What do you think? Do you think Amber is doing this or do you think this is all fake news?
