Amber Heard Responds After Petition To Remove Her Reaches Over 1.5 Million Signatures

Before we get into the recent news regarding this battle between Amber Heard and Johnny Depp, we feel we should go back and share with you how we got here.

In 2018, the actress published an essay on her history of sexual harassment and aggression in The Washington Post.

While she did not directly mention her ex-husband in her op-ed, she referred to the moment that, “two years ago, I became a public figure representing domestic abuse, and I felt the full force of our culture’s wrath for women who speak out.”

There were many people who were behind Heard at that time.

Meanwhile Johnny Depp’s image and professional career took a major hit as a result of Heards allegations. losing roles, etc.

He was even recently being forced to resign from his role of Grindlewald in Fantastic Beasts 3

Last year, he filed a $50-million defamation case against Heard and showed proof that he in fact was the one that was being abused, not the other way around.

And just recently, by way of showing support for Depp and that they believe him, more than 1 million signatures, citizens agree that Heard should be fired from Auquaman 2.

At the time of this publication, 1,160,276 signatures were confirmed from the Change.org petition.

And he claims that after their split, Heard allegedly has systematically plotted to destroy Depp in Hollywood, repeated numerous stories of fabricated events in which she had never raped Johnny Depp, but lied and rendered misleading accounts of becoming an abuser.

It mentioned that Heard allegedly was a “known and proven domestic abuser”.

And the petition also gives a reminder about domestic violence victims that are Male:

“Men are victims of domestic abuse, just like women. This must be recognized, and action must be taken to prevent a known abuser from being celebrated within the entertainment industry. Do the right thing. Remove Amber Heard from Aquaman 2.”

And here is more information on that official petition to have Amber Heard removed from Aquaman 2.

Created by Jeanne Larson, the petition crossed the signature milestone after Deadline reported that Mads Mikkelsen will replace Johnny Depp in the latest Fantastic Beasts film and is addressed to executives at both DC Entertainment and Warner Bros. To date the petition has received a total of 1,579,927 signatures, more than half of its targeted 3,000,000 pledges.

In the description, Larson justifies petitioners’ calls to Heard from the upcoming DC movie, where she’s set to continue starring as Mera, with claims about Depp and the actress’ relationship. From claiming Heard is a “known and proven domestic abuser” to accusing the actress of lying, Larson passionately supports the Pirates of the Caribbean star while seeking to persuade signers with claims from the months-long trial.

But given all these recent developments against her, this hasn’t stopped Heard from showing her enthusiasm which she shared on her Instagram.

In an interview published November 12th, Heard said:

“I’m super excited about the amount of fan love and the amount of fan appreciation that Aquaman has acquired and that it has garnered so much excitement for Aquaman and Mera that it means we’ll be coming back. I’m so excited to film that.”

Despite Heard ‘s confidence, Warner Bro ‘s film has not yet been granted the go-ahead to film Aquaman 2.
