Anderson was the winner of the second platinum ticket. The platinum ticket is a new type of ticket for “American Idol’s” 20th season.
This year, just three platinum tickets were distributed to participants. Those participants, like their gold-ticketed counterparts, got to go to Hollywood, but they also got to bypass the first Hollywood round and choose their pair partners.
“You might be the biggest star we’ve ever seen,” judge Luke Bryan said during her audition. “No doubt, I believe top 10.”

‘American Idol’: Kenedi Anderson, has left singing competition early for ‘personal reasons’
The decision was first announced by the show’s host, Ryan Seacrest. Anderson also announced it on her Instagram.
“For personal reasons, I’m unable to continue on ‘American Idol,’” she wrote. “This has been one of the hardest decisions I’ve ever had to make, but I know it’s necessary.”
The singer also thanked the judges, the show and her fans.
