The long-awaited Beverly Hills Cop 4 is already in production, and new photographs from the set have surfaced, confirming the return of additional unique characters alongside Eddie Murphy’s Axel Foley.
Following some conjecture and concern, both Judge Reinhold and John Ashton have been sighted on site, resuming their roles as Detective William “Billy” Rosewood and Sergeant John Taggart.
The photographs, released by @davidleestokes, show both Judge Reinhold and John Ashton in excellent spirits, their smiles and clear happiness at being back no doubt echoed in the faces of Beverly Hills Cop fans worldwide. It was unclear if Reinhold and Ashton would be joining Eddie Murphy in the fourth Beverly Hills Cop installment, which has now been dubbed Beverly Hills Cop: Axel Foley. And it’s wonderful to see them back.
Released in the before time of 1984, the first Beverly Hills Cop introduced audiences to Eddie Murphy as Detective Axel Foley, a reckless young cop with a penchant for cracking jokes and getting the job done. Directed by Martin Brest, Beverly Hills Cop finds Foley heading to Beverly Hills, California, to solve the murder of his best friend, teaming up with Sergeant John Taggart and Detective Billy Rosewood along the way.
