Maga conservatives are ecstatic after learning that Bud Light’s marketing vice president has taken a leave of absence.
According to marketing and advertising publication Ad Age, Alissa Heinerscheid has stepped down from her role and will be replaced by Budweiser Global Marketing Vice President Todd Allen.
After Bud Light’s ad campaign featured transgender musician Dylan Mulvaney, Heinerscheid became the center of conservative and right-wing rage online.
Mulvaney’s inclusion in the ad prompted conservatives to demand for a beer boycott and the firing of Heinerscheid.
The conservative backlash against Bud Light is part of the continuing cultural war in the United States. It has dominated political debate and resulted in legislation targeting the transgender population being sponsored in Republican states.
