Bud Light sales plunge as distributors are ‘spooked’ by the Dylan Mulvaney backlash

Bud Light sales have plummeted, and its distributors in the Midwest, South, and rural areas are’spooked’ by the criticism following the company’s partnership with trans TikToker Dylan Mulvaney.

According to trade newspaper Beer Business Daily, distributors for Anheuser-Busch goods, which owns Bud Light, reported declining sales over the weekend.

It comes after a video of a guy claiming to be a merchandiser for an A-B affiliate went popular on Twitter, in which he lamented weak sales and the impact on his livelihood.

‘I’ve never seen such low sales as in the last several days,’ he remarked. ‘When people don’t buy this beer, I don’t make any money and can’t feed my family.’

Mulvaney, 26, sparked the uproar when she posted a new promotional image on Instagram, which had a Bud Light can with her face printed on it. Conservatives raised concerns, as did artist Kid Rock, who fired cases of Bud Light in protest.
