Tony Rock, Chris Rock’s brother, slammed Will Smith after the actor smacked Rock at the Academy Awards.
Smith stepped onto the stage to hit comedian Chris Rock, who was presenting an award at the film awards event, when the comic made a joke about his wife, actress Jada Pinkett Smith.
Smith resigned from the Academy on Friday (1 April), five days after the incident, following rumors that he may face disciplinary action. His membership in the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has been revoked as a result of the decision.
Tony started the show by saying: “If you think you gonna walk up on this stage, this ain’t the mother* Oscars.”
“And if you walk your a** up here, you ain’t nominated for s* but these motherf*ing hands. Oh, we are going to pop the rest of the year. Every time you see me do a show, pop!”
