Christopher Nolan’s Oppenheimer Reportedly Has an Insane Run Time

Oppenheimer, a new Christopher Nolan movie, will be released in theaters later this year.

Everything has gotten notice thus far, from the film’s distributor to its vast ensemble cast to its innovative marketing approach.

Now, it appears that Oppenheimer’s length will make headlines as well, with Puck’s Matt Belloni’s “What I’m Hearing” email suggesting that it will be Noaln’s longest film ever.

While Interstellar was 169 minutes long, Belloni believes Oppenheimer will be closer to 180 minutes.

Speaking about the film Nolan said:

“It’s a story of immense scope and scale and one of the most challenging projects I’ve ever taken on in terms of the scale of it, and in terms of encountering the breadth of Oppenheimer’s story. There were big, logistical challenges, big practical challenges. But I had an extraordinary crew, and they really stepped up. It will be a while before we’re finished. But certainly as I watch the results come in, and as I’m putting the film together, I’m thrilled with what my team has been able to achieve.”
