Doctor Strange and Scarlet Witch’s new costumes were revealed in official promotional art for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness . The original Doctor Strange helmer Scott Derrickson was set to return to the director’s chair for the sequel, but he left the project in early 2020 due to creative differences. Marvel subsequently brought on the Tobey Maguire- Spider-Man trilogy director and horror aficionado Sam Raimi.
Since then, the sequel has been highly anticipated not only for what Raimi will lend to the project directorially, but for what implications this will have regarding the mysterious multiverse. The sequel is set to bring back Benedict Cumberbatch’s sorcerer Doctor Strange alongside Elizabeth Olsen’s Scarlet Witch who is still fresh off her solo MCU series WandaVision. This will act as the first team-up between the two Marvel heroes.
