The Labrador Retriever is one of the breeds branded with soft mouth. It is the term used by breeders to refer to a behavioral tendency to pick up, hold, and carry a hunt gently. His soft mouth sure came in handy in this situation.
It’s awesome how he managed to carry the bird in his mouth without crushing it as he swam across the lake. In my book, this dog is a hero.
