Amanda Holden, 49, has been in charge of the British Got Talent show for the past five weeks, as Simon Cowell, 61, had to remain in Los Angeles to obtain medical treatment after slipping off his electric bike.
With the music mogul away from the proceedings, plenty of his fans asked how he was coping and when he would be back on TV screens. On Thursday, his ITV talent show co-star provided an update on his health, saying that he was getting “round-the-clock treatment.”
Ahead of the final of the talent show this weekend – which Simon won’t be on hand to judge live in the studio – Amanda said she was missing her friend.
The mother-of-three explained to the panel: “I miss Simon like crazy… there’s a lack of silliness [on BGT].”
Asked by the presenters how the music mogul was doing, she added: “He’s doing really well. I keep in touch with Lauren every week, and it was his birthday yesterday, he turned 61.
“She said his will and his determination is brilliant and they’ve got round-the-clock care [in Los Angeles].
“He’ll be back I have no doubt,” the musical theatre star continued as she provided viewers with a vital update on Simon’s health.
Cowell allegedly landed on his back when he fell from an electric bicycle he was trying out. The source added: “The injuries are bad but he’s also been told he was lucky.”
The star has been at home with his girlfriend Lauren Silverman, her son Adam, 14, and the couple’s son Eric, 6. During a 2008 interview with “Hello!” magazine, Holden confessed her true feelings for Cowell.
But aside from the injury, fans have noticed a very significant difference in Simons appearance:
But reportedly Simon has started going on this new vegan diet and that could explain his new drastic appearance change.
But at the end of the day, Simon can do whatever he wants and it shouldn’t matter what anyone else thinks.
We do hope Simon makes a full recovery from his injury and goes on to being the Simon we know and love!
