Cliff Bleszinski, the game’s designer, stated this week that he does not want MCU star Chris Pratt to be involved in the Gears of War adaptations in the works at Netflix.
Bleszinski’s remarks came after Netflix announced that it will collaborate with The Coalition to create a live-action feature and an adult animation series.
There have been no casting announcements for these projects as of yet, thus there is no information on any specific talent who will be featured in the Gears of War movie and series.
Bleszinski, the main designer on the original three Gears of War games and the man largely responsible for the series’ inception and direction, commented on Pratt and the Gears of War projects on Twitter this week.
He originally commented on Dave Bautista’s demand for inclusion in the projects (Bleszinski, like many others, supports Bautista as Marcus) before stating that Pratt should not be included in the adaptations.
