Hooters was forced to backtrack on its contentious new uniform code after staff employees complained that it was “x-rated” and “disturbing.”
The restaurant company, known for its female employees’ tight-fitting uniforms, has now announced that employees will be able to “select” whatever uniform they want to wear.
A spokeswoman for Hooters told Insider, “As we continue to listen and update the image of the Hooters Girls, we are emphasizing that they have the option to select between traditional uniforms and the new ones.”

It followed its previous decision to replace already-short shorts for new skin-tight, bikini-cut bottoms, which some of its staff compared to underwear.
