Is The ‘Moon Knight’ Show Canceled? The Rumors Explained

Moon Knight has been a big hit on Disney Plus, but a season two doesn’t appear to be in the works. It’s touted as a limited series (like Wandavision), which indicates that Moon Knight’s solo series will finish here and end at season 1 for the time being.

Moon Knight is listed as a miniseries on IMDB, which isn’t surprising given Oscar Isaac’s status as one of Hollywood’s most in-demand performers. He’s been in Dune, the Star Wars trilogy, the X-Men franchise, and a variety of lesser budget pictures that have gained him critical acclaim, but committing to a multi-season series isn’t feasible.

But die-hard comic-book Moon Knight fans shouldn’t be too concerned by this revelation, and season two isn’t totally ruled out. Marvel Studios may always alter its minds and prolong the series, as other limited series have done in the past (Big Little Lies), and it’s apparent that people are enjoying the new MCU character.

In an interview with Variety, Isaac said “…we all agreed that this [show] is what we’re going to focus on. This is the story. And if there’s any kind of future, I think it just depends on if people like it, if people want to see more, and if we find a story that’s worth telling.” If the response is strong enough, calls for a season two could be heard.
