Jane Fonda Says She Isn’t Fazed About Being ‘Closer to Death’

At an interview with CBS Sunday Morning, the 84-year-old actress and icon Jane Fonda confessed that she is more troubled by the fact that she has had to repair so many of her joints owing to her age than actually aging itself.

“I’m super-conscious that I’m closer to death. And it doesn’t really bother me that much. What bothers me is that my body is, you know basically not mine! My knees are not mine, my hips are not mine, my shoulder’s not mine. You’re looking at somebody who’s only me from here up.” ” Jane Fonda said during her interview with CBS Sunday Morning. “

Fonda went on to say that she’s more concerned with living life today than she is with ruminating on what she’s had to give up as an 84-year-old lady.

In terms of health, Fonda stated that she quit consuming alcohol since it began to effect her differently.

“It’s because even with one drink, like, if I had a martini tonight, I would be at half-mast tomorrow. Now, that wasn’t true when I was younger. But as you get older, I think alcohol affects you differently. And I only have so many tomorrows left. I don’t want to be at half-mast for any of them!” Jane said.
