Marvel Confirms Moon Knight Details for Disney+ Series

The presentation from Disney’s Investor Day was truly spectacular. So many epic reveals.

And one of them was the reveal of Moon Knight. Marvel Leader Kevin Feige shared fresh information on the forthcoming Disney+ Moon Knight series. Feige has compared the series to an “Indiana Jones” adventure.

Marvel has confirmed that the series will be directed by Mohamed Diab. The official synopsis of the series states that the unique alternate roles of Marc Spector would be their own characters in the episode.

Here is what is said regarding the new show:

“The Marvel Studios original series for Disney+ centers on the character Marc Spector aka Moon Knight, a complex vigilante who suffers from dissociative identity disorder. These multiple identities who live inside him are distinct characters in the series and will appear against a backdrop of Egyptian iconography.”

Moon Knight was created in 1975 by Doug Moench and Don Perlin for Comicbook: “Werewolf by Night” #32.

The Moon Knight character is the alter ego of Marc Spector, the son of a Jewish-American rabbi who later became a heavyweight boxer and then a Marine.

Spector is a mercenary with various alter egos such as cabbie Jake Lockley and millionaire playboy Steven Grant, to help combat the criminal underground. But later he was identified as a medium for the god of the Egyptian moon, Khonshu, after he had been left dead on a quest in Egypt. Until lately, he was a contractor who dresses in white and goes by the iconic name: Mr. Knight.
