REAL FEAR: Pediatrician shares wise ways to get through today’s baby formula shortage

Dr. Dyan Hes, a physician in New York City, appeared on “Fox and Friends Weekend” on Saturday to discuss the current infant formula crisis and to give solutions for parents.

Her practice engages in telemedicine, she added, and she observed that nearly half of the inquiries today are concerning the infant formula scarcity.

She said that some parents are “freaked out” over it.
“This is a real anxiety” among today’s parents, she says, about finding enough baby formula to feed their children.

According to her, the greatest thing for parents to do is to relax, especially for the benefit of the infant.

Dr. Hes, who is linked with many hospitals in New York City, also stated that many of the mothers she encounters in her clinic are nursing their kids while simultaneously feeding formula to their newborns, but that many are completely feeding formula.

This Mom Shared How The Formula Shortage Is Affecting Her Baby And It’s Horrible

And a mother called Kayzie Weedman has chose to share her experiences as a formula-feeding parent. In her viral TikTok video, which has over a million views.

The mom said:

“Let’s talk about the formula shortage that is plaguing the US right now, because more people need to know about this. You go to your local Target, your local Walmart, and you think you’re going to get the formula your baby needs? Nope. Shelves are bare. And there are babies who can’t have just any formula that’s on the shelf.”

“I’m going to insert a picture of what my daughter looks like when she has cow’s milk because she has a huge cow’s milk protein allergy. So, what am I going to do when I go to the shelves and can’t get the formula that I need? The pharmacist who fills her prescription formula can’t fill it because they can’t get it — it’s back-ordered six months and I just have to sit there and stare at empty shelves and not know what I’m going to do next.”
