As it turns out, this song held meaning for more than just the singer! It was no surprise when everyone in the room started weeping a just few lines in, except for Simon Cowell. When Simon was caught silently wiping away giant tears from his face, we knew Daniels would be making the cut!

Though the pain he was going through certainly heightened his emotional response, Simon explains that Daniels’ performance was every bit as powerful as it seemed.
