Hundreds of thousands of children are in the foster system here in the U.S. On any given day, there are nearly 443,000 children in foster care here in this country.
And baby Sasha was one of them.
Sasha was born in Russia with a very rare medical condition called SOX2 anophthalmia syndrome.This means he has no eyes, and can’t see.
And there are only 2 other children in the entire world that have the same genetic deformation.
But despite this Sasha has continued to fight and lives a happy life. What great parents to show love and care for him.
