Spider-Man: Miles Morales owes a lot to the huge success of Spider-Man Into the Spider-Verse, the 2018 animated film that helped propel Miles’ version of the web-slinging hero to new heights of fame.
It’s apt, then, that players would be able to suit up in Spider-Verse’s now classic spray-painted variant of Miles’ black-and-red suit in Spider-Man: Miles Morales.
But the Insomniac Games maker not only created a plain skin; the studio actually copied Spider-Verse ‘s daring, comic-inspired animation style for the Spider-Verse gameplay suit, right down to the Ben-Day dots and modified frame rate. Fighting is also punctuated with on-screen bursts of onomatopoeia.
