Spider-Man: No Way Home Trailer Might Spoil Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield’s Return

On Tuesday, the second trailer for Spider-Man: No Way Home debuted, providing the best look yet at the impending Marvel film.

Fans began to worry what rumors the video would confirm before it was even verified, notably the ever-changing likelihood that previous Spider-Man actors Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield might return.

While neither Maguire nor Garfield appeared in the film, a skilfully edited montage shown in some of the overseas trailers may have hinted at their appearance.

The scene, which you can check out in gif form below, shows Peter Parker / Spider-Man (Tom Holland) charging forward against some of the villains of the Sinister Six. If you look closely at Lizard, he appears to flinch backwards, as if he’s being punched or kicked in the face. Even the very composition of the shot, with Lizard and Sandman off to the side of Peter himself, seems to indicate that there might be more than one character charging at the group.

What do you think? It sure does look like the Lizard and Electro are fighting someone…someone you can’t see in that video. Someone that may have been edited out of that video…
