Spider-Man Star Michael Keaton Confirms Vulture Return

Spider-Man: Homecoming star Michael Keaton has confirmed that he’s been shooting scenes for an upcoming Marvel project as the iconic Vulture character.

Adrian Toomes’ future as the Vulture remained unknown after he was imprisoned at the end of Spider-Man: Homecoming. That is, until Michael Keaton appeared in the Morbius trailer, raising more questions than it answered.

We weren’t sure if Venom 2 was directly related to the Marvel Cinematic Universe when it was released in 2020, but thanks to the post-credits sequence, we now know that Sony’s Spider-Man Universe and the Marvel Studios projects are inextricably intertwined.

Without naming a specific project, Keaton revealed during a conversation on Jimmy Kimmel Live that he is currently shooting something with the character. Of course, that immediately got fans wondering what it’s for, with the two obvious choices being reshoots on Morbius or maybe a post-credits stinger for Spider-Man: No Way Home. The character was last seen in Spider-Man: Homecoming, in which he served as the primary antagonist. He also had one of the best twists in the MCU when it was revealed that he was Liz’s father.

Check out the interview Keaton has with Jimmy Kimmel below. The Marvel discussion starts around the 13min mark:
