It’s Star Wars Day, and Disney+ has published a new Obi-Wan Kenobi video. Obi-Wan Kenobi has finally returned to the Star Wars world. Following Alec Guiness’s portrayal of the famous Jedi in Star Wars: A New Hope, Ewan McGregor won fans’ hearts as a younger version of the character throughout the prequel trilogy. McGregor is revisiting his role as Obi-Wan Kenobi in a fresh new Disney+ TV series, more than 16 years after his previous appearance as the character in Star Wars: Revenge of the Sith.
The Obi-Wan Kenobi series was announced by Lucasfilm and Disney for 2020, with The Mandalorian director Deborah Chow at the helm and McGregor brandishing a lightsaber once more. With Hayden Christensen reprising his role as Anakin/Darth Vader, Obi-Wan Kenobi has become one of the most anticipated Star Wars projects in the works.
