Strange World, Disney’s latest picture, is officially in cinemas, but it hasn’t fared well at the box office.
The animated picture earned only $18.6 million during the five-day Thanksgiving holiday weekend, falling well shy of the predicted $30 million.
Gabrielle Union has now spoken out about why she believes the film underperformed at the box office. Union, who plays Meridian Clade in the film, explained the problem to Variety at the Gotham Awards on Monday.
“I don’t know, I believe people become comfortable viewing stuff at home,” Union added. Strange World is only available in cinemas right now.
