After a decade at the helm of the enormously popular and increasingly convoluted Transformers films, Michael Bay’s Bayformers are receiving a gentle reboot and eventually going Beast Mode.
The first Transformers: Rise of the Beasts video is now out, allowing veteran Beast Wars fans to get up and cheer for the big screen versions of Optimus Primal, Cheetor, and all of their varied allies and adversaries.
As we heard last summer, Rise of the Beasts isn’t a pure adaptation of Beast Wars, but rather a film that will incorporate some of its characters alongside series mainstays like Optimus and Bumblebee.
While no one is ruling out the animated series’ Predacon villains, the opponents this time will be the Terrorcons, a new menace created just for Rise of the Beasts.
