President Joe Biden praised individuals who have served in the United States military on Thursday, calling them the “very spine of America.”
“”Our veterans reflect the finest of America,” the president said during an address at Arlington National Cemetery on Veterans Day. “You are the backbone of America.” You are the spine of our country, not simply the backbone. And all of us owe you everything.”
Biden’s statements come only hours after the White House announced new moves that would allow veterans to file claims for certain lung and respiratory problems caused by toxins and environmental risks.
