The CW’s most popular program, The Flash, continues to get renewed each year for new seasons despite the fact that the quality of the show has really dropped off.
The latest seasons of The Flash have really been very disappointing, with narrative gaps that make no sense and a lack of an engaging plotline.
And don’t even get me started on all the pauses the series has taken—I mean, the show comes on for two weeks, then goes on hiatus for a month. It’s difficult to maintain an audience when you’re not on for a regular weekly run.
Others will point out that as the season’s progress, The acting is just not good anymore. The writing is bad as well.
Those two things leave a director with little to nothing to work with to be honest. It’s a cheesy cheaply made show now.
The only thing keeping it on the air I think is that it’s on the CW and they don’t have anything better to replace it with.
