
Netflix has revealed that The Umbrella AcademySeason Two will debut in July. In an announcement video featuring the cast of the show dancing, the streaming service reveals that the second season will premiere on July 31. The Umbrella Academy is based on the comic book series of the same name created and written by Gerard Way, illustrated by Gabriel Bá, and published by Dark Horse Comics. The series is produced by Universal Content Productions for Netflix, with Steve Blackman serving as executive producer and showrunner. It seems that Blackman meant it when he teased that the second season remained on track despite the coronavirus pandemic. The series stars Ellen Page, Tom Hopper, David Castañeda, Emmy Raver-Lampman, Robert Sheehan, Aidan Gallagher, Cameron Britton, and Mary J. Blige.
