Venom: Let There Be Carnage Movie Reportedly Pushed Again

Since Covid infections continue to rise, movie companies are once again looking at the box office environment and considering alternative plans as a result of the delta variant’s surge.

Venom: Let There Be Carnage, one of Sony’s biggest releases this year, was previously delayed from September to October, but it seems that the company is still not completely satisfied with the idea. Sony is allegedly looking to push out the Venom sequel once more, this time until 2022.

From comicbook.com:

According to Vulture, Sony opted not to show off any Venom: Let There Be Carnage footage at Monday’s CinemaCon presentation because it’s planning to delay the film once again. Sources tell Vulture that the current plan is for Venom 2 to take the Morbius release date in January.

Morbius is set to be released in theaters on January 21, 2022.

So it looks like that will be the new release date for Venom 2.
