“Challengers,” Luca Guadagnino’s next project, has finally published its first trailer, showing Zendaya and Josh O’Connor in what’s being characterized as a romantic sports comedy.
Tashi, a professional tennis player, is played by Zendaya, who co-stars with O’Connor and Mike Faist. Tashi and her husband, Art, are followed in “Challengers” as they rejoin with a previous opponent, Patrick, who also happens to be Tashi’s old lover and best friend.
Tashi persuades Art to attend the Challengers tennis tournament, but when Art discovers he’ll be competing against Patrick, drama and intense competitiveness erupt.
“Challengers” features “three players who knew each other when they were teenagers as they compete in a tennis tournament to be the world-famous grand slam winner and reignite old rivalries on and off the court.”
However, the film also has a sensual sequence starring Zendaya, Josh O’Connor, and Mike Faist.
