Woman Paralyzed in Batwoman Set Accident

We just learned that A production assistant working on the Batwoman CW TV show in Vancouver is currently paralyzed after being involved in an accident on the set last week.

According to the Vancouver Sun, comedian Amanda Smith was working on the set of the series when a boom lift bucket was lowered onto her head, trapping her underneath and resulting in serious spinal injuries that have left her unable to feel anything from the waist down even after surgery. The accident took place while the series was filming beneath Vancouver’s Georgia Viaduct on Wednesday, March 11.”She was literally just sitting there and it came down on top of her,” Smith’s colleague and friend Tyler Mazzucco said.
