Scarlett Johansson made a surprise cameo in the most recent edition of the live sketch comedy, as Senator Katie Britt in reaction to President Joe Biden’s State of the Union address earlier in the week. Britt’s speech became viral online because of the politician’s erratic speaking style and deceptive assertions.
Saturday Night Live capitalized on the outcry by including Johansson in an over-the-top, melodramatic comedy during the show’s cold open. Halfway through, Johansson’s portrayal of Britt even mocked the bleak hypnotizing sequence from Jordan Peele’s Get Out. You can view the whole thing below.
