The world has just been in shock over the breaking news that actor Tom Hanks and Rita Wilson have just tested positive for the Coronavirus.
They are the first celebrities to go public with a diagnosis.
In a statement posted to Instagram, Hanks said he and his wife were traveling in Australia when they were tested after exhibiting symptoms like tiredness, body aches, chills and “slight fevers.””Well, now. What to do next? The Medical Officials have protocols that must be followed. We Hanks’ will be tested, observed, and isolated for as long as public health and safety requires. Not much more to it than a one-day-at-a-time approach, no?” he wrote.
What stuck with me from Hanks statement was this: “We felt a bit tired, like we had colds, and some body aches,”. I mean…how many of us have had those symptoms? Which should remind everyone that this virus could can mimic the regular flu.
Furthermore, doctors are saying people have get this virus before even showing symptoms. Scary stuff.
But we will keep the Hanks family in our prayers and hope for a speedy recovery!
