Netflix Is Cracking Down on Password Sharing

Some customers across the world are already discovering that although they have a Netflix account, they are unable to find and watch U.S. television programs because of age-based restrictions put in place to limit content piracy.

There has been password sharing on Netflix as long as there have been movies available on the streaming service. If friends and relatives have accounts, only one person pays for the service or product being used. Though Netflix had spoken of ways to limit password sharing in the past, it seems like they are now actually following through on that plan.

More and more users are beginning to get a prompt in their account settings on Netflix as they sign in that states that they should be in the same residence as the account holder of the membership in order to use the service.
