A teacher caused a heated argument online after revealing a list of 32 slang terms that are not permitted in their classroom, as shown in an X post with over 33 million views.
“The gibberish some of you choose to use is improper English,” the anonymous teacher remarked when introducing the vernacular blacklist, which was implemented at an undisclosed school.
They implemented the ban after noting an increase in pupils using language that they considered “inappropriate for an academic setting” and harmful to the learning process.
