If you’ve noticed, or if you are a big fan of the original movie, then you probably already know that Ghostbusters: Afterlife, the latest Ghostbusters film, has been out at movies theaters for a week now.
Unlike the 2016 reboot starring Kristen Wiig, Melissa McCarthy, Leslie Jones, and Kate McKinnon, this fourth Ghostbusters film will be a straight sequel to the classic films from the 1980s.
Ghostbusters: Afterlife, directed by Jason Reitman, takes place 30 years after the events of Ghostbusters II and introduces a new generation of ghost experts: siblings Phoebe (Mckenna Grace) and Trevor (Jason Reitman) (Finn Wolfhard). When Phoebe and Trevor start having unusual experiences in their neighborhood, they uncover their link to the original Ghostbusters through their late father.
