Disney Panics & Pulls Brie Larson’s ‘The Marvels’ From 2023 Slate

Brie Larson is currently one of the most recognized movie actors in the world, yet it appears that not a single one of her films is a definite smash hit.

According to a recent Bloomberg story, the Walt Disney Company (the parent company of Marvel Studios) is concerned about whether Brie Larson’s forthcoming Marvel Cinematic Universe film, The Marvels, will be released in November as planned.

In principle, the continuing strike by the Writers Guild of America and the Screen Actors Guild – American Federation of Television and Radio Artists should not affect the release date of a completed film.

However, insiders suggest that SAG-AFTRA’s prohibition on performers promoting a film may be enough to push The Marvels to a later date.

More importantly, this would be the fourth time that Disney has delayed a Brie Larson Marvel film; The Marvels was originally scheduled to be released in February 2023.
