Molly Shannon is speaking up about a horrific encounter she had with the late Gary Coleman.
During an interview on The Howard Stern Show on Tuesday, the 57-year-old comedy actress talked about the time she met Coleman, which she also mentioned in her new memoir, Hello, Molly!
Shannon had recently signed with the Diff’rent Strokes star’s agency at the time and was given the opportunity to meet him. Shannon claims she was invited to Coleman’s luxury hotel room with their joint agent.
But, as Shannon told Stern, the tone changed after the agent left her alone with Coleman.
“I think he was like, ‘Sit down [on the bed].’ It was very sweet,” she recalled. “And then he’s, like, tickling me a little. This and that.”
Shannon said that she was “trying to be polite” toward Coleman, pointing out that she was “a virgin” at the time of the incident. But she told Stern Coleman continued to become more aggressive.
