Sony has been searching for new Spider-Man-related characters to enhance their non-MCU Marvel content after two successful Venom films.
Several Spider-Man rogues and anti-heroes are getting their own films, and the immortal Morbius will be the next. Morbius, starring Jared Leto as the eponymous vampire, was set to be released in 2020, however the epidemic had other intentions, and the picture is now set to be released in January 2022.
