If you can believe it, Johnny Depp is still causing controversy. Or, more precisely, Johnny Depp’s Jack Sparrow is causing new uproar among Disney fans.
During a Pirates of the Caribbean fireworks spectacular, a projection of Johnny Depp’s Jack Sparrow was projected onto the Magic Kingdom Castle in Disneyland Paris.
That’s a first since Disney cut ties with Depp in 2018 by removing him from Pirates of the Caribbean.
Now that Depp has won his high-profile trial against ex-wife Amber Heard, whose claims triggered a wave of industry outrage against Depp, the tide is obviously changing.
After Disneyland Paris showed the image of Depp as Jack Sparrow, it was photographed and shared on social media.
The tweets and videos have subsequently gone viral, and there has been (as expected) blowback from people who think Depp is still in the wrong.
