Man, this is the best news I’ve heard all week! I am a HUGE Planet of the apes fan. I’m a fan of the old series that stared the great Charleston Heston, but I also love the new trilogy with the incredible performance by Andy Serkis who played Caesar. I’ll never forget how powerful that performance was.
But I think we all just assumed that the end of this last trilogy of movies would be the end of the Planet of the apes as we knew it.
But today we have some great news for Planet of the apes fans!

Despite War for the Planet of the Apes being released three years ago, it looks like 20th Century Studios might be planning on rebooting the franchise. According to a new report from the team at DiscussingFilm, Wes Ball’s take on the franchise will serve as a reboot of the latest trilogy 20th Century releases.
