Johnny Depp’s multi-million dollar defamation claim against his ex-wife, Amber Heard, will be filed in Virginia later today.
He believes Heard’s 2018 essay in The Washington Post, in which she discussed domestic violence against women, indicated Depp, her ex spouse, was an abuser.
Although the 35-year-old did not identify the actor, Depp’s lawyers allege Heard’s allegations have made it impossible for the 58-year-old to acquire past projects.
Depp is most recognized for his roles in Pirates of the Caribbean, Sweeny Todd, and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. Heard has appeared in a number of films, including Aquaman and Drive Angry.
