Man killed by police after calling 911 because his car wasn’t working

Christian Glass, 22, was shot by a police officer in the early hours of June 11 after dialing 911 for assistance with his automobile.

The Clear Creek County Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call from a driver near Silver Plume, Colorado, at 11:21 p.m. on June 10.

Christian Glass, a chef and artist, called 911 and stated that his car had “become stuck in a pretty awful situation” and that he required assistance.

During the call, he stated that he had two knives, a hammer, and a rubber mallet in the car that he could hurl out the window when authorities came to make them feel comfortable.

However, when officers arrived, Christian ‘immediately became combative and uncooperative,’ according to the police statement.

He was struck with beanbags, tasered, and finally shot dead at the spot after a more than an hour-long standoff.
