Abandoned In Taiwan, Rescued In US!

The surgery for Dora’s breast cancer was successful and she was able to make a full recovery.  Her infections were treated easily with antibiotics.

Now came the difficult job of finding a foster home for her while she continued with her rehabilitation.

In stepped US Rescuers, an organization dedicated to searching the world for wonderful dogs in need of foster and “forever” homes.

“When we picked her up at the airport, we could tell she was just such a sweet, sweet dog.” said her saviors.

With that kind of personality, it was not difficult to find Dora a foster home.

“Dora is a loyal, smart and easy to train dog”, explained Joanna her foster mom who immediately fell in love with her. “No mistrust, no reservations, no fearfulness after being neglected and mistreated.  She’s so positive and such a great dog.”

Dora loves going for walks and riding in the car.  Apparently she’s a loud snorer too!  I guess she’s finally learned to get a deep sleep!

Dora is ready to be adopted.  This story is another example of how wonderful rescue dogs can be.  Most rescued dogs are not adopted because there is a stigma around them suggesting that they are damaged goods.  Not true!  Help continue to spread the awareness of how loyal, kind and forgiving rescues can be.

75% of all households that have dogs chose not to adopt because of this wrong preception.  Adopt!
